Deane Aboud was admitted as a Lawyer in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2016, after completing her Bachelor of Laws. She began her legal career at Maclarens as a Graduate Lawyer, quickly establishing herself as a rising talent. Her progression through the firm was marked by key milestones, appointed Associate in 2019, promoted to Senior Associate in 2023, and elevated to Partner in 2024.
Deane has built a diverse legal career, gaining experience across a broad range of practice areas including Wills & Estates, Criminal Law, Project Building & Construction, and Intellectual Property. While her background is multifaceted, Deane’s current primary focus lies in Wills & Estates.
Deane is also a University Lecturer at Western Sydney University, teaching students across the School of Law and the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment. She particularly enjoys lecturing in Building Law and Construction Claims.
She was recently engaged by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to assess student presentations in the Masters of Property Development course, reflecting her expertise and commitment to academic excellence.
Deane is passionate about sharing knowledge with the community, regularly delivering presentations and publishing insights on estate planning. She also actively mentors young lawyers, offering guidance and support to help them build confidence and succeed in their legal careers.
